Highfields Seeds Limited was established in 1958 on the site at Desford by Reg Quinsee as a specialist agricultural seed company. Highfields Seeds has traded successfully for over 60 years. In 1988 John Cartwright joined the company and in 2001 he took over the business together with John Ashmore, as a director.

John Cartwright is now the Managing Director, with Amy Martin (nee Cartwright) as General Manager and Crop Inspector and Anthea Parker is the Accounts Manager. In the warehouse we have Ken Gibbs as Processing Manager assisted by Tony Hulbert, who is also a Class 2 HGV driver.  They operate our two cleaning lines both with gravity separators.  We have two rigid lorries, for making deliveries.

 

We are a thriving company with committed, regular seed growers most of whom have been working with John Cartwright for many years, even before he came to Highfields Seeds.
